Water Conservation Warning Lifted
Recent snowfall and rainfall have restored Broadford Lake to normal levels, allowing the Town of Oakland to lift water conservation restrictions effective immediately.
The conservation measures were introduced on November 7, 2024, due to unusually low water levels at Broadford Lake caused by the summer's severe drought. The Mayor and Town Council and the town's Water Department thank residents and businesses for their cooperation and commitment to reducing water usage during this period.
While restrictions are no longer necessary, residents are encouraged to continue practicing responsible water use to support long-term sustainability.
